Course Overview
This course promotes self-expression, confidence, and creativity through artistic discovery and performance. Instrumental and vocal music, role-playing, and dramatic storytelling are part of student learning. Rhythm, melody, stagecraft, and improvisation are developed through the course. Group performances and peer evaluation involve collaboration and reflection. Students are also exposed to cultural and historical contexts of music and drama. Ultimately, students have an enhanced sense of the performing arts and their role in culture and communication.
