Course Overview

This course promotes students’ creativity and self-expression via music and drama. Rhythm, melody, movement, voice, and performance technique are areas of study. Individual and group exercises that build confidence and cooperation are engaged in by students. The cultural and historical context is woven into the curriculum to make students appreciate art better. Critical listening, improvisation, and reflection are integral to the learning process. Emotional growth and artistic inquiry are promoted in line with IB values.
