Course Overview
In Grade 6 History IBSL, the students learn about the ancient civilizations and their lasting legacy. They study the ways that societies have developed, were governed, and interacted with their environment. The students investigate and ask questions about sources, artifacts, and timelines. They ask the hard questions about change, continuity, and cause-and-effect. Group projects and discussions prompt critical thinking and historical empathy. By the end, the students value a broader view of humanity’s shared past.
