Course Overview
Grade 12 Physics extends students’ knowledge of the basic physical concepts. Physical principles covered include mechanics, waves, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, and the advanced concepts of modern physics such as relativity and quantum mechanics. Critical thinking, scientific investigation, and experimental work are encouraged through the course. Mathematical models are used by students to describe physical phenomena and they conduct laboratory experiments to measure and verify theoretical concepts. Physics builds strong problem-solving and analytical skills, essential for careers in engineering, technology, research, and applied sciences. Assessments involve both theoretical and practical components, encouraging a balanced approach to learning.
