Course Overview

Grade 10 History looks at important events, movements and changes that formed the world we live in today. In history, students investigate revolutions, battles, movements for independence and the creation of democracy. Students are expected to study historical sources, time orders and different ways of looking at history. Lessons help children practice reasoning with facts, using critical thinking and developing understanding. Current matters in the world are tied to school topics. As a result of the course, students understand how to participate as citizens and investigate history.
