Course Overview
Students in Grade 10 EMS learn more about the economic principles, entrepreneurship, and basic accounting. Students look at the functions of businesses, recognize financial terms, and explore the government’s effect on the economy. You will study budgeting, the role of supply and demand, reading income statements, and ethical decision-making in business. Students have opportunities to use what they learn through example cases and hands-on activities. Students learn skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and managing finances. The course lays a foundation for additional learning in business, commerce, and economics.
