Course Overview
The Grade 3 First Additional Language IBSL curriculum is focused on building up core competencies in a new language through four main strands: Listening and Speaking, where the students learn basic conversation, pronunciation, and understanding of spoken language; Reading and Phonics, aimed at decoding words, recognizing sounds, and reading basic texts; Writing and Handwriting, encouraging the production of basic sentences with correct grammar and legible writing; and Comprehension and Vocabulary, developing understanding of simple texts and expanding key vocabulary. These help the learners speak with confidence in a second language.
